Perhaps each of us often keeps certain nostalgic tunes, once attached to our childhood or memory for ourselves. How wonderful it would be if we can express those tunes by the tender sound of a voice or an instrument, derived from our emotions in certain situations. Then the tunes will become even more uplifting, the feelings could become more ecstatic. That is the incredible sensation music can bring to us all.

These days, many students learn music under the methodology of only sight-reading, which is obeying the imposed expression of the composer. Without the sheet music, students cannot perform the piece unless learning by heart. Therefore, students can never generate creative and originality in music.

 

Unlike the conventional methodology, MPU’s approach assists students on being creative when playing music, to discover the way of expressing a piece of music originally, depending on personal emotions.

 

MPU desires to create an idealistic environment so that talents can be discovered, emotions can be awakened, inspiration and passion can be ignited. Then music can offer us the wonderful experience of the abundance of life.
